摘要 In the last issue of the Journal of Proteome Research,Ly et al.(1)communicate on their kinetic analysis of the proteome of the rd10 mouse,a model of inherited retinal blindness.Why this study is so important for our understanding of retinal diseases?Inherited retinal degenerations are devastating diseases that affect more than one million people in the world. Why this study is so important for our understanding of retinal diseases? Inherited retinal degenerations are devastating diseases that affect more than one million people in the world. The genetic causes have been extensively studied and demonstrate their extreme, heterogeneity as illustrated the large number of genes identified that mutations cause either autosomal recessive, autosomal dominant, X-linked, mitochondrial and even digenic diseases (2).
