摘要
巴洛克原指怪诞变形的珍珠,17至18世纪中流行于欧陆的巴洛克美学则主要表现为雕琢繁复、追求动感、强调戏剧冲突与悲世悯己情怀,其艺术风格和时代精神与我国成书于18世纪西风东渐时期的经典名著《红楼梦》有异曲同工之处。对照巴洛克美学,《红楼梦》在以下四方面呈现出了新面貌:(一)以大观园西番莲纹为代表的巴洛克装饰风格;(二)以互文繁复的丰羊角式文本为代表的巴洛克写作风格;(三)以视觉盛宴与日用珍品为代表的巴洛克浮华精神;(四)以"死神也在大观园"为代表的巴洛克悲世悯己情怀。
Baroque is originated from a jewelry term referring to an odd, deformed pearl. The Baroque Arts, which were prevailing on European continent from the 17'h century to the middle of the 18th, generally express an over-ornamental, ever-moving and dramatic style as well as a world-weary sentiment. Such historical sentiments and artistic styles are also disclosed in our Chinese classic A Dream of Red Mansions, which is created at the same age of the 18th century. From the perspective of the Baroque, A Dream of Red Mansions reveals the following new aspects of beauty: I. there are such baroque ornaments as the passion flowers in the buildings of the Grand View Garden; 2. there is a baroque writ- ing style characterized by an odd imagination and the Cornucopian text; 3. there is a baroque vanity with a great visual feast and millions of daily beauties; 4. there is a baroque sentiment revealed by the fact that "Death is in the Grand View Garden, too".
