Translation is not only the transformation of language, but also the communication and collision between different cultures. Preface of the Collection of Lanting, as the treasure of Chinese culture, is rich in Chinese traditional culture elements. It is rewarding for translating the classical Chinese works through discussing how the translator crossed the language and cultural differ- ences in the process of its Chinese to English translation and realized the accurate transmission of the original ideas and cultural ele- ments from the perspective of the analysis of the differences between English and Chinese and their cultures.
