摘要
史诗是一座宝库，既是民族精神的支柱，也是凝聚民族情感的纽带，对民族性格、传统文化的形成有着重要的影响。柯尔克孜族英雄史诗《玛纳斯》，颂扬了英雄玛纳斯及其七代子孙前仆后继、率领柯尔克孜人民与外来侵略者及各种邪恶势力进行斗争的事迹，同时还记录了柯尔克孜族传统生产知识、生活知识、仪式、节日等。《玛纳斯》史诗2009年入选联合国教科文组织《人类非物质文化遗产代表作名录》后，获得了更好的传承与保护。
"Manas", the epic of Kyrgyz people, praises fights of Kyrgyz people against foreign invaders and evil forces, led by hero Manas and his seven younger generations. It is also a record of traditional production and life knowledge, rites, and festivals of Kyrgyz people. In 2009, the Epic of Manas was inscribed on the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
