关于期刊页码的一点思考

生活中各种期刊的页码都是固定或基本固定的。本文分析了出现这种情况的原因,发现这既不是国家的硬性规定,也不是期刊的固有特征,更不是行业的规范,而是传统纸本期刊时代印刷及发行传播的需要。在数字出版时代,固定的页码不利于改善期刊出版的时效性。然后本文提出解决问题的最佳途径是变传统的"基于期的出版方式"为"基于文章的出版"方式。

The pages of a variety of journalslife are fixed or almost fixed in our day. In this paper,we propose that the reasons are not the national mandatory,inherent feature of journal,and the industry standard,but the intrinsic demand of traditional journals. Moreover,the fixed page is not suitable for the improvement of timeliness in the digital publishing era. We propose that the best solution to this problem is the evolvement of the journals from the traditional issue- based publishing to the article- based publishing.
