Objective To analyze the prevalence rate of thyroid diseases by using the high frequency color Doppler ultrasonography. Methods The thyroid ultrasound examination by using the high frequency color Doppler ultrasound was performed among the healthy physical examination of 8 733 respondents in our hospital from October 1,2012 to December30,2014,the subjects aged 20-85 years old,and were divided into 3 age groups of 20-45, 45-60, 60-85 years old. The incidence rate of thyroid diseases was examined, which was concentrated at the incidence rates of thyroid nodule and thyroid cancer. Results The prevalence rate of thyroid diseases was 36.70%(male 30.98%,female 42.45%),in which the incidence rate of thyroid nodule was 29.46%(male 25.84%,female 33.10%),which of other thyroid diseases was 7.24%(male 5.14%,female9.35%). The incidence rate of thyroid nodule in different age periods of females was higher than that in males, moreover with the age increase, the incidence rate was elevated, the difference was statistically significant(P〈0.01). Alerting thyroid cancer by the high frequency color Doppler ultrasound was in 56 cases, among them,45 cases of follow up were performed operation(39 cases were diagnosed as thyroid cancer by pathological tissue examination,6 cases were benign lumps),11 cases were still followed up at regular interval. The pathological diagnosis indicated that the coincidence rate was 86.67%(male 82.35%,female 89.29%).Conclusion The high frequency color Doppler ultrasound can provide the evidence for early diagnosis of thyroid cancer.
