少年犯罪乃犯罪现象的源头,对于少年犯施以有效且适当的矫治措施,早日消除其犯罪倾向,可避免成为明日的成年犯。在探讨少年犯罪原因之外,对于少年犯罪的处理也不容忽视,而矫治少年的性格与调整少年的成长环境实为处理少年犯罪的重要途径。根据犯罪学者及专家研究结果发现,如果对于少年犯的处置失当,使其过早进入少年犯罪矫治机构,未来成为成年犯的机率就越高。因此,关于少年犯罪的对策与预防,实为当下刑事政策相当重要的课题。
