The structure and definition range of a-olefins are introduced. The techniques and methods tor separa- tion of high carbon α-olefins are summarized. The basic principle, technical characteristics and applications of a high- new separation technique--molecular distillation technique are emphatically analyzed. By contrasting and analyzing various techniques and methods, the advantages of molecular distillation method are discussed. The wide application prospects of molecular distillation technique in separation of olefins are clarified.
