The Imitation of Nature

老子是我国古代著名的思想家,他提出了人类认识世界、认识自己的一种特殊的思维方式。"道法自然"是老子思想的核心,司马谈对此解释为"以虚无为本,以因循为辅",这一思想反映在政治学上,即主张无为而治,表现在人生态度上,就是虚静无我。论文分析老子之"道"提出的背景,结合其他道家学者的看法,阐发老子这一思想。

Lao zi was a famous ideologist in ancient China, who proposed a unique mode of thinking to recognize the world and ourselves. The imitation of nature is the core of Lao zi’s ideology. Sima Tan illustrated it as‘base on emptiness and follow the laws of nature’, which is governing by doing nothing in the aspect of politics and emptiness in the aspect of life attitude.This paper analyzes the background of the present of ‘Dao’, and illustrates this ideology by combining other scholars’ opinions.
