Ding Xiangchen's Experience of Treating Leukorrheal Diseases From the Aspect of the Liver

丁象宸以从肝论治、调理气机为治疗带下病的治疗原则,临床采用辨证施治的方法:肝郁脾虚证方选完带汤加减,若寒凝腹痛者加温经暖宫之药,如香附、艾叶;若带下量多难止者,可加用金樱子、芡实、乌贼骨、白果等;肝肾阴虚证方用知柏地黄丸、二至丸加减;肝经湿热证给予自拟清肝汤;热毒蕴结证予以自拟清热解毒汤。治疗过程中应注意:和肝不易伐肝,和肝之余勿忘健脾,中药外洗、熏洗、针刺及艾灸等多种治法并施。丁主任从肝脏辨证,兼顾脾虚、肾虚等伴随证候,以达到标本兼治的目的,在临证时更应以辨证为准,选用合适的治法方药,是治疗带下病的关键。

Director Ding Xiangchen Treats leukorrheal disease from the aspect of the liver and with therapeutic principle of regula- ting the qi activity. Clinically, syndrome differentiation and treatment is performed. For syndrome of liver depression and spleen deficiency, Modified Discharge-Ceasing Decoction can be applied. For abdominal pain due to cold congealing, drugs for warming meridians and uterus canbe used such as Xiangfu （Rhizoma Cyperi）,Aiye （Artemisiae Argyi） ;for profuse leukorrhea,Jinyingzi （ Fructus Rosae Laevigatae）, Qianshi （Semen Euryales）, Wuzeigu （ Endoconcha Sepiae）, Baiguo （ Semen Ginkgo） can be used; for syndrome of liver and kidney yin deficiency, Anemarrhena, Phellodendron and Rehmannia Pill and Modified Double Supreme Pill can be applied ;for syndrome of damp heat of the liver meridian, self-formulated Liver-Clearing Decoction can be applied ;for syndrome of heat toxin accumulation, self-formulated Heat-Clearing and Toxin-Eliminating Decoction can be applied. During the treatment, attentions should be paid：harmonizing tbe liver rather than suppressing the liver,strengthening the spleen besides harmonizing the liver, application of multiple treatment methods such as external washing with Chinese medicine, fumigating and washing, acupuncture and moxibinon. Director Ding performs syndrome differentiation from the liver and gives consideration to the accompanied symptoms due to spleen deficiency and kidney deficiency as well in order to achieve the simultaneous treatment of the root cause and the manifestations. In clinical, the differentiated syndromes should be as the criteria for selecting proper treatment and drugs and formulas, which is the key to treating leukorrheal disease.
