The New Wave of Hong Kong television( 1975 – 1980) is an unprecedented and unrepeatable exploration period in Hong Kong television history. It has benefited from Hong Kong TV culture,which had not been commercialized and institutionalized at that time,offering relatively free space for creation to New Wave directors to express their personality. Through the creation of TV movies,the New Wave of Hong Kong TV has made remarkable achievements in finding the identity of Hong Kong,studying gender power and exploring the film language,also reflecting the value of modernity in the ethics of news communication.
