《圆屋》浓墨重彩地刻画了主人公乔在成长过程中的生存困境,这种困境体现在对印第安文化身份的认同和建构上。论文试图以成长为视角,探讨作品中乔作为少数族裔对身份探索的心路历程,剖析美国印第安青少年的自我认同与身份建构。
The Round House vividly depicts the living dilemma of the protagonist--Joe in the process of growth. His dilemma presents in the identification and construction of Indian cultural identity. The paper attempts to discuss the procedure of seeking for identity of Joe as an ethnic minority from the perspective of youth growth, and tries to disclose the self-identification and identity construction of American Indian adolescents.
