在中国共产党成立之前,封建主义力量、农民革命力量以及资产阶级力量自发地开展部分青年工作,促进了中国青年工作的萌芽,但由于领导力量软弱、青年观消极、青年工作狭窄而长期陷于缓慢徘徊状态。中国共产党领导中国青年工作,经历了从领导人民为夺取全国政权而奋斗的党成为领导人民掌握全国政权并长期执政的党两个历史方位下的两个时期共5个发展阶段。中国共产党领导中国青年工作的巨大发展嬗变,是一个不断发现青年、确认青年、解放青年、发展青年和服务青年的历史进程,是一个不断证明并将继续证明青年工作有机楔入中国共产党成长壮大的发展历程,更是一个历史选择并将继续选择中国共产党作为青年工作领导力量的必然过程。

Before the establishment of the Communist Party of China（CPC）, the feudalism power, revolutionary peasants force and the capitalist strength did part of the youth work spontaneously and promoted the birth of the Youth work of China, which was in a long stay of non-development due to force-less leadership, negative outlook of youth and narrow scope of the youth work. Leading the youth work of China, the CPC experienced five stages of development in two periods under two historical orientations from a party, which led the people and struggled for seizure of power, to a party, which takes the helm of the country and keeps in extended governance. The great transmuting process of the youth work of China under the leadership of CPC is a historical progress of keeping finding the youth, confirming the youth, liberating the youth, developing the youth and serving the youth, is a developing process, in which the youth work has been proved time and again and is being proved further to wedge reasonably into the development of CPC, and more is a inevitable process, in which the history has been choosing the CPC as the leading force to the youth work.
