Editor＇s note The University of International Business and Economics （UIBE） is a multi-disciplinary and national key university for studies in trade, economics and management. Especially, the School of International Studies （srs） is well known for cross- cultural talent education that is closely connected with current needs of the society. Prof. Wang Lifei, Dean of SIS, is one of the few foresighted intelTectuals who have started actions when realizing the significance of standardization for the modernization and globalization of the emerging economy.
