安全工程专业外语是一门重要课程,通过2014年11月和2015年11月分别对某高校两届大三的学生进行"安全工程专业英语"课程调研,得到以下结论:专业英语教学应以学生为主,教师为辅,多实践。采用多种形式教学手段,如小组讨论、案例分析、看录像听录音,写报告等。专业英语教学重点是阅读和翻译,辅以听说,进而过渡到读写听说综合训练。专业英语教材应尽量选取原版英文教材加汉语注释,增加习题、单词、词汇和翻译技巧讲解等内容。

Safety Engineering Specialty English is a major course.By November 2014 and November 2015 respectively on two sessions of junior students in a university of the safety engineering professional English course research,this paper comes to the following conclusion： professional English teaching should be student-centered,supplemented by the teacher,and contain more practice.Using various forms of teaching methods,such as group discussion,case analysis,watching video recordings,writing reports,etc.,specialty English teaching focuses on reading and translation,supplemented by listening and speaking,and then transition to integrated training including reading and writing,listening and speaking.Specialty English teaching materials should as far as possible select the original English textbooks and Chinese notes,add exercises,words,vocabulary and translation skills to explain the contents.
