从英汉语序差异看英语复合句的翻译

On the Translation of English Complex Sentences from the Perspective of the Differences of English-Chinese Word Order

作为两种不同的语言,英语和汉语之间存在许多相异之处,其中两种语言在语序方面就存在一定的差异。英语复合句是英语句子中很常见的一类句型,其句式特征冗长繁琐、逻辑关系复杂多变、成分之间晦涩难分,所以英语复合句的翻译对于译者是一项巨大的挑战。这其中很重要的一点是英汉语序的差异对英语复合句的翻译造成了很大的困扰。所以,本文将从英汉语序差异的角度,对英语复合句的翻译提出调整策略,并希望在实践中得到运用。

As two different languages,Chinese and English are distinct from each other in many aspects,word order being one of them.Complex sentence is widely-used in English.And the translation of complex sentence is a big challenge for translators because of its complex sentence structure,flexible logic relations and obscure relations between its components.One of the barriers is the differences of word order between the two languages.Thus,this paper will present some adjustment strategies to the translation of complex sentences in English in view of the differences of word order between the two languages and it will be helpful for translation practice.
