台湾郑树森、周英雄的文学论著评析

Comments on the Literary Works of Zheng Shusen and Zhou Yingxiong in Taiwan

郑树森谙熟中外比较文学,以严谨踏实的治学方法成为台港地区比较文学这门学科的翘楚。在比较文学与文学理论的关系上,他不仅反对不要理论指导和不上升到理论的实证主义,而且反对沙文主义和欧洲中心论的错误理论。周英雄的比较文学研究,其成绩突出表现在首次独立完成结构主义的研究专书《结构主义与中国文学》。他不仅致力于把结构主义等新方法及国外的批评理论引进台湾文坛,而且还亲自作示范,即用李维史陀和雅克慎有关结构主义的文学理论去研究中国文学。

Zheng Shusen is very familiar with Chinese and foreign literature. He became an outstanding scholar in comparative literature in Taiwan and Hong Kong for his rigorous scholarship. As to the relationship between comparative literature and literary theory, he not only objects positivism which doesn＇t involve theory, but also Chauvinism and Eurocentrism. The fruit of Zhou Yingxiong＇s comparative literature research is displayed in Structuralism and Chinese Literature which is a research monograph completed by himself about structuralism. He devoted himself to introducing the new method like structuralism and foreign critical theories to Taiwan, as well as demonstrating in person, i.e. studying Chinese literature by Lee Victor＇s and Jacques＇ s structuralism.
