The Historical Change on Hong Kong and Its Identity Construction

特殊的历史境遇造就了香港社会和广大民众"特殊"的中国认同意识,使得部分香港民众对现实中国及祖国内地产生了一种既依恋又疏离、既关心又隔膜的复杂心态。这一特殊的中国认同意识应得到内地社会的理解和尊重,但香港主流社会决不能一再被破坏国家统一和社会稳定的杂音所扰乱。香港更美好的未来,应建立在香港与祖国内地的繁荣稳定,以及陆港两地合作互惠的基础之上。

The special historical circumstances created special Chinese sense of identity on Hong Kong society and the general public people, so that part of the Hong Kong people has created a complex mentality on mainland Chinese reality both attachment and alienation, both interest and membrane. This special Chinese mainland social identity consciousness should be understood and respected, but the Hong Kong mainstream community must not be destroyed by national unity and social stability of the noise disturbance again. A better future on Hong Kong should be established on prosperity and stability in Hong Kong and the mainland, as well as the beneficial cooperation between Hong Kong and mainland.
