In construction of railway lines,how to select track laying method is the key to the success of the entire project,it directly determines the duration and cost of two important goals. This paper described the construction process of YZ500-TY track-laying machine with straight laying of long trails on ballast tracks,and introduced in detail the construction method applied to the construction of Southwest-ring Railways in Taiyuan. For short circuit or temporary land acquisition difficulty in laying base-building project,this construction method has a great advantage.
