Form from the Heart: the Spirit of Image Aesthetics in the Design Style of Western Organic Modernism

有机现代主义设计风格诞生于20世纪60年代,流行于北欧、意大利和美国等西方国家。这种风格在外观造型上通常体现为意象的自然形态,明显区别于经典现代主义设计中抽象的几何形态。它不但功能实用适合批量生产,而且还具有特殊的审美意境,是对现代主义设计的修正及改良。文章主要通过分析中国古代意象美学的精神内涵和有机现代主义设计的造型法则,并以有机现代主义建筑、家具设计为例,探讨意象美学在有机现代主义设计中的运用。

Organic modernism design style was born in the 20 th century, the 1960 s, popular in northern Europe, Italy and the United States and other western countries. This style in appearance is usually reflected for images of natural forms, significantly different from the classical Modernist design abstract geometry. It not only practical function suitable for mass production, but also has the special aesthetic conception, is the correction and improvement of modernism design. This article mainly through analysis of the spirit of the connotation of ancient Chinese aesthetics of imagery and organic modernism design modeling principles, and to organic modernism architecture, furniture design as an example of aesthetic imagery use in organic modernism design.
