儒学与科学具有根本上的相容性

Confucianism and Science are Fundamentally Compatible

儒学与科学的相容与相斥之争直接关系到儒学的现代命运,关系到弘扬传统文化的合法性和怎样弘扬传统文化的问题,因而亟待予以澄清。从理论上看,儒学与科学的关系是真理与价值的关系。儒学价值与科学真理终极目的的一致、精神气质的相通、思维方式的互补和社会功能的共济等,共同决定了儒学与科学具有根本上的相容性。从宏观历史角度看,儒学不仅与中国古代科学相容,而且与近代科学也一直处于良性互动的状态;从微观历史角度看,作为儒学核心概念的"格物致知"发生过两次重大转向,经历了一个其认知含义不断扩大,最终与科学融为一体的过程。格物致知与科学根本上的相容性,在一定意义上说明了儒学自身是具有与科学根本相容的基因的。

The relationship of compatibility or repulsion on Confucianism and science is directly related to the compatibility and repulsion of Confucianism and the modernization. It is related to the problem of promote the legitimacy of traditional culture and how to carry forward the traditional culture,therefore the question need to be clarified immediately. From a theoretical perspective,the relationship between Confucianism and science is the relationship between truth and value. The consensus of the ultimate goal of the value of Confucianism and the ultimate goal of scientific truth,the communication of spiritual temperament,the complementarity of thinking mode and the function of the society,all of these determine the compatibility between Confucianism and science. From the perspective of macro history,Confucianism is not only compatible with ancient Chinese science,but also benign interact with modern science. From the perspective of micro history, ＂ Ge wu zhi zhi＂ as a core concept of Confucianism happened twice shift,it has been experienced its cognitive meaning continues to expand,eventually blend in with science. The Compatible of＂Ge wu zhi zhi＂and science proved that Confucianism and science must be compatible with intrinsic gene in the sence.
