In-Between "Inside" and "Outside":Designing the Complex Building of the Suzhou Branch of Jiangsu Mobile

当前,国内城市新区CBD的设计以追求现代性为主流话语体系,作为CBD中重要实体形态的高层建筑也因规划及技术制约而愈加趋同,江苏移动苏州分公司综合楼的设计在规制的约束下进行了新的尝试。设计在形体控制上建立了建筑与城市环境的对话,在空间操作上以类型学的方法构建了"街""院…廊"等空间原型,并借助绿色技术手段实现建筑与城市、内部与外部的空间切换。通过形体控制、空间操作以及永续策略三个维度的叠加,综合楼的设计在现代性、城市性和建筑个性之间建立了新的平衡。

The CBD （Central Business Districts） of the newly developed urban area is normally designed to pursue the modernity as the mainstream discourse. As an important landinark in the CBD, high-rise buildings become increasingly alike due to planning and technical constraints. The complex building of Suzhou branch offers an attempt in response to the regulation constraints. The design establishes a dialogue between the building and its urban environment on the form control, and the space prototype of ＂street＂, ＂courtyard＂ and ＂atrium＂ using the method of typology on the space operation. The space switches between the building and the city, and the inside and outside intertwine with green technology. The design of the complex building establishes a new balance between modernit and urban and architectural characters through manipulations on three dimensions of formal control, spatial operations and sustainable strategy.
