Travel photography is a complex cultural phenomenon,which can be used as a multicultural interpretation both from a universal phenomenon of modern tourism activities and from its function to analyze.The paper interpreted the multicultural mean-ings of travel photography from the following aspects：the experience brought about by a tourist’s ＂improvisation＂,the construc-tion and promotion of tourism destination image,an implied relationship of power discourse,stimulating tourism motivation and guiding tourism consumption.
