Interpretation of updates the 2016 World Health Organization classification of hematopoietic and lymphoid tumors

2008年世界卫生组织(WHO)造血与淋巴组织肿瘤分类为淋巴瘤的分型提供了重要标准,近年来淋巴瘤的临床和生物学研究取得了很大进展,高通量技术的发展使我们对部分淋巴瘤有了更新的认识。在2008年分类的基础上,2016年WHO淋巴瘤分类有很多重要的更新。一些曾经暂定类型,如间变性淋巴瘤激酶(ALK)阴性的间变大细胞淋巴瘤在2016年分类中成为确定的类型,同时一些新的暂定类型被提出:如十二指肠型滤泡淋巴瘤等。文章就2016年WHO淋巴瘤分类的更新进行解读,以便临床医生了解这些更新的来龙去脉,更好地将其应用于临床实践。

The 2008 World Health Organization （WHO） classification of hematopoietic and lymphoid tumors has provided important criteria for the diagnosis oflymphoma. Recently3 there have been numerous advances with clinical and biological implications. Highthroughput sequencing technologies have made it possible for us to gain insights into some types of lymphoid malignancies. Some provisional entities in the 2008 dassification such as ALK negative anaplastic large cell lymphoma will been promoted to definite entities in the 2016 classification, and some new provisional entities such as duodenal-type follicular lymphoma will be added. In this review, it interpreted the changes made in the 2016 version to help clinicians better understand these updates and to guide clinical practice.
