摘要
莞香亦名蜜香、栈香、黄熟香等,因其膏液虚实不同而称谓各异,原产于交趾。汉唐间,莞香树在岭南渐有。宋元时,岭南濒海地区普遍种植,尤以东莞县茶园、金桔岭、马蹄冈等地所产之香最佳而见称于史。明清以降,香料市场需求量猛增,东莞县香凭借其绝佳质地和产量优势远销至岭北及东南亚,"莞香"之名享誉中外。莞香除作为贡品由地方政府定期进贡供皇室贵族享用及赏赐外藩属臣外,其余尚佳者多为官宦文人所青睐,高端消费群体的追捧使莞香成为消费时尚,风靡一时。
Guan-spice also called Mi-spice(蜜香),Zhan-spice(栈香)and Huangshu-spice(黄熟香),etc,which is native to the Cochin,because of deficiency excess of its Liquid cream so that it has different appellation.Guan-spice trees started to grow in the area south of the Five Ridges in Han and Tang dynasties.They were widely cultivated in littoral region of the area south of the Five Ridges in Song and Yuan dynasties,especially in Dongguan(东莞)County tea garden(茶园),kumquat Ridge(金桔岭),Horseshoe Ridge(马蹄冈),for the best spice produced by these places and to be the earliest historical records.Spice market has surged in demand since the Ming and Qing dynasties.GuanSpice,with its excellent quality and yield advantage,is exported to the area North of the Five Ridges and southeast Asia.The name of Guan-Spice is renowned at home and abroad.Guan-Spice is as a tribute by the local government for the royal to regularly enjoy,in addition,the rest gets the government official's favor.Guan-Spice become a consumer fashion because of the pursue and admire of the highend consumer groups.
