Love and Survival in the Smoke of Gunpowder:On Yin Ling's Collection of Stories, The Roundness of the Umbrella

《那一伞的圆》是从越南到台湾的著名女作家尹玲的早期创作。它书写了20世纪60年代的南越,记录了战火中的青春与南越华人的生存。20世纪60年代至1975年是越南华文文学发展的高峰,然而大量的华文资料已毁于战火。《那一伞的圆》的出版,为研究越南华文文学提供了宝贵的资料。

The Roundness of the Umbrella is an early work by Yin Ling, a well-known Taiwan Residents woman writer, who moved from Vietnam to Taiwan, a book about South Vietnam in the 1960 s that records the survival of the Chinese people in the war there. The period from the 1960 s to 1975 is one in which Chinese-language literature in Vietnam reached its height although much of the material was destroyed in the war. The publication of The Roundness of the Umbrella provides treasured information on research into Chinese-language literature in Vietnam.
