The paper introduces the classification of reboilers and the application of reboilers in chemical industry, the process, equipment layout and piping design features of vertical thermosiphon reboiler and forced circulation reboiler, and compares the use conditions and key points for layout of reboiler suppor-ted on the tower and on an independent framework, and focuses the compensation methods applied in reboiler pipe stress design under two different layouts.
