“三宝侗寨”译名探讨

Translation Discussion on the Sanbao Dong Village

榕江"三宝"侗寨是中国侗族村寨地域最大,人口最多、最密集,历史文化较为悠久的侗寨群之一,同时也是国家级非物质文化遗产——榕江侗族萨玛节及侗族琵琶歌的核心保留地。本文在目的论指导下,对"三宝"侗寨译名的准确性和合理性进行考证,尽量减少因文化差异而引起的误解。

Sanbao Dong Village（ Three Eudemons Dong Villages） in Rongjiang is one minority village which has the largest Dong population and the largest area. It is also the most intensive residence area and has a long history and culture of Dong people. At the same time,it is the national intangible cultural heritage- Rongjiang Dong people’Sama Festival and the core of the reservation of the song of the Dong nationality. We should discuss on the name of ＂Sanbao＂under the Skopos theories,to analyze the accuracy and the rationality translation of the Sambao Dong Village. We will try our best to reduce the misunderstanding caused by cultural differences.
