摘要
《海上花列传》的吴友如派插图通过图像的视觉转译将晚清上海的洋场奇观予以了直观再现。其关于西方的表征,是中国小说插图对西方的第一次相对具体、全面、写实的表征,包含着近代中国社会转型期中上海的文学生产及其视觉化传播中的一种对西化的社会治理模式、日常生活方式和价值理念的认知与认同,一种对更为开放、多元、异质的现代文明的想象与追崇。从中可以看到,传统的帝制皇权所着力建构、倡导的“大一统”的同质化、一元化的生活模式及价值理念日趋分化瓦解,转型期的多元、开放与异质的日常生活形态、行为方式以及价值观念则日渐形成。
The illustrations of Romance of Playboys and Prostitutes in Shanghai represents a spectacle of old Shanghai in late Qing Dynasty by its image's visual translation. It's the first time for Chinese novel illustrations to present to the West in a relatively specific, comprehensive and realistic way. It's the way of representation that signifies an cognition and identification with a western- ized governance mode, everyday life style and value ideas, and an imagination and pursue of the more open, diverse, heterogeneous modem civilization in the process of literature production and visual communication in Shanghai in early Modem China. From the representation of West of the illustrations, it can besaid, "universal", homoge constructed by the traditional i collapsed, and a pluralistic, o nizated and unified life style and value ideas that mperial power was increasingly differentiated and pen and heterogeneous everyday life style , individual behavior and values ideas were gradually formed during the social transformation era.
