摘要
在美国职业教育史上,曾发生了一场著名的"普杜之争"。从争论双方一系列基础性观念的范式对立,即普罗瑟派的效率主义、精英主义和结构-功能主义对立于杜威思想中具有的人本主义、平等思想以及进化主义,可以看到,杜威职业教育思想坚持以人为核心,以民主为向度,坚持文化教育与职业培训有机结合的观念要旨,具有显著的合理性。
In the history of American vocational education, "the argument of Prosser and Dewey" occurred. They hold these different concepts: Dewey favors humanism, democracy, and the integration of vocational education and liberal education, which is obviously more rational, while Prosser believes in efficiency, elitism, and structural-functionalism.
