Since 1950, due to the transformation of economy structure and the progress of advanced production service sector, high technology manufacture, and distinctive services, BosWash has built efficient knowledge economy, and successfully dealt with the huge challenges caused by deindustrialization and the rise of Sunbelt on the last half of 20 th century. Bos-Wash has still maintained advantageous position in global competition.
