Transformation to Application- oriented Universities:Strategic Choice of Local Undergraduate Colleges

地方本科院校向应用型转变是我国高等教育领域的一次重大改革。文章分析了转型发展的重要意义和影响因素,提出了推动转型发展的路径选择。各转型高校只有转变发展理念和发展方式,切实做好转型发展的顶层设计,厘清转型发展过程中的关键问题,在办学定位、学科专业建设、人才培养体系建设、师资队伍建设、校企合作、科研与社会服务等方面加强建设,构建体现应用型本科特色的人才培养机制,才能实现成功转型。

It is a major reform in Chinese higher education history to carry out local undergraduate university transformation toward an application orientation. Based on the significance and influential factors in transformational development,this paper puts forward route options to promote the transformational development. Local undergraduate universities concerned must first transform development principles and modes,implement profound top- level designs for transformational development,and clarify key issues in the transformational development process. It is especially important to strengthen constructions with regards of education orientation,disciplines and major specialty,talent cultivating system,faculty development,university- enterprise cooperation,and finally,scientific researches and social services. The successful transformation of local undergraduate universities heavily relies on a successful application- oriented talent cultivating mechanism construction.
