陈徽崇是马来西亚国家文化人物奖得主(2008年)。诗与音乐的结合,是马华文化相当突出的表演创作形式。把马华现代诗谱成曲来重新演绎的创作风潮,其关键人物是曾经留学台湾,学成返马的音乐教师陈徽崇。他引领的"大马现代诗曲"对马华文化的表演形式进行了新的创造,让马华现代诗获得了音乐的升华,丰富马华精致文化的内蕴,成了马华现代诗曲创作的第一批有心人。

In Malaysia, many Chinese artists set poems an important art form of Malaysian Chinese culture. Tan Hooi to songs and perform them.
