本文就英美穿越小说的发展脉络做了一次系统性的分析和总结,根据不同时期的发展状况和特点将其发展大致分为三个时期,即和神话没有脱离的初期、和科技结合的中期以及和多种门类交叉的成熟期,并对每个时期的一些代表作品进行了概述,而且对该时期的穿越小说的鲜明特征也进行了归纳,该文通过对比英美两国的穿越作品,揭示了彼此间的许多共性,并对穿越小说的相关研究提供一定的借鉴。

This paper makes a systemic attempt at analyzing and summarizing the history of time - travel novel＇ s development in America. According to its different developing stages with their respective characteristics,the whole history is divided into three phases, namely, the early one of having not been separated from myth, the middle phase of being integrated with science, and the mature one of multi - genre development. Besides, to illustrate the author＇ s views of different stages, some outstanding time - travel novels are briefly introduced and their common characteristics have been distilled as the features of each stage. In addition, the paper sheds light on the common traits between American and British time -travel novels, which can serve as references for further study.
