英语动宾构式的语法转喻机制研究

不及物动词带宾语的动宾构式是英语中的一种特殊表述,本文以新三角模型为理论框架,从认知转喻角度阐释不及物动词带宾语的动宾构式的句法-语义接口词汇化现象,揭示这一特殊构式背后深层的认知机制。研究表明:不及物动词带宾语是其句法-语义互动平衡的结果;不及物动词因吸收及物动词语义而走向及物化;其及物化背后离不开转喻运作机制。

Object-taking intransitive construction is a special expression in English. Based on the New Triangle Model theory,this study aims to explain the lexicalization of its syntax-semantics interface from the perspective of cognitive metonymy which is considered to be the deep cognitive mechanism behind Object-taking intransitive construction. The research shows that Object-taking intransitive construction is the results of its interaction between syntax and semantics; An intransitive verb will turn to be transitive through its assimilation of semantic meaning of a transitive verb,and metonymy operation is integral to such a phenomenon.
