The paper introduces the implementation procedures of static elastic-plastic analysis method and displacement method. Through the out-of-code building engineering example,applying MIDAS / GEN computation software,it carries out static elastic-plastic computation and results analysis under rare earthquake,and obtains some conclusions,which will provide some guidance for designers.
