The development and current situation of the knowledge analysis and visualization technology are described first. The usage of the CASIR reflects the user requirements, and a series of key technology solutions is given according to the user requirements. These solutions were applied to develop the visualization and knowledge analysis functions based on the CASIR system. The resources in CASIR system were reorganized and indexed, and the analysis and clustering techniques were used to build the dynamic charts base on the results. Knowledge analysis and visualization function were provided, which can display the relationship between resources based on institutional repository. This study can extend service for institutional repository and improve literature analysis and utilization for researchers and managers.
