摘要
本文探讨原汁原味的青少年英语文学作品作为高中英语泛读材料的可行性。青少年英语文学作品容易引起高中学生的阅读兴趣和情感共鸣。一个学期的阅读体验后,学生阅读的自信心有明显提高,阅读态度有积极的变化。语言感知及情感和思维深度均有明显的收益。学生的反馈也表明,原汁原味的青少年英语文学作品对高中学生而言是可理解的语言输入,可以作为高中英语泛读教学的材料。
This paper presents the feasibility of using authentic young adult literature as extensive reading materials in senior high school in China. Authentic young adult literature evokes responses and arouses interest from senior high school students. A one-semester reading program proves it is effective in building student's positive attitude and reading confidence. Besides, they have benefited a lot mentally as well as emotionally. As an understandable language input, young adult literature makes excellent materials for senior high school extensive reading.
