摘要
以高校英语专业一年级学生为实验对象进行对比研究,用以考察电影片段和语音教材两类练习材料对学习者英语语音技能习得的影响。一个学期的实验结果表明:(1)电影片段能够提高学生的音素、节奏和语调意识,更有助于他们提高节奏和语调的水平;(2)语音教材练习能够提高学生音素、语调意识,却不能够提高他们的节奏意识;(3)两种材料对培养学生语音语调听辨和音素发音能力方面没有差异。此发现为如何根据语音教学目标有针对性地选择练习材料提供一定的依据。
The use of English film clips as a source of training as compared with that of pronunciation textbooks in the teaching of pronunciation skills to first-year college English majors is studied. After fourteen weeks of training,the results are as follows:( a) using English film clips helps learners develop awareness of English phonemes,rhythm and intonation,and improve their English rhythm and intonation skills.( b)Using pronunciation textbooks enhances learners' awareness of English phonemes and intonation,but not that of rhythm.( c) English film clips show similar effect on the discrimination of phonemes and intonation as well as the development of phoneme skills to that of pronunciation textbooks. The findings have implications for the choice of pronunciation and intonation practice material according to different teaching and learning purposes.
