文化翻译观视阈下《穆斯林的葬礼》英译本中民族文化的翻译研究

On the Representation of Ethnic Culture in the English Version of Musilin de Zangli Under Cultural Translation Theory

《穆斯林的葬礼》是现当代文学中以少数民族文化为大背景而展开的优秀长篇小说,其民族文化信息遍布于小说的15个章节,在塑造人物形象和推动情节发展中发挥了至关重要的作用。本研究基于文化翻译观,对比分析该小说的中英文本,探究其英译本中民族文化的再现忠实度,以便清晰了解其英译本状况,为其他优秀文学作品走出去提供借鉴。

Musilin de Zangli, which is set in the ethnic culture, is an excellent novel in contemporary Chinese literature. Contents of ethnic culture in this novel spread all over the fifteen chapters and play a crucial role in building the character images and promoting the plot development. Based on the cultural translation theory, this thesis makes a comparison between the source text and the target text of the novel to explore whether the ethnic culture is faithfully represented in order to get a thorough understanding of the English version. It is hoped that the research may offer some reference for the spreading of other literary works.
