A Correct Understanding of the Capitalism Core Values

培育和践行社会主义核心价值观,需要厘清社会主义核心价值观与资本主义核心价值观之本质差异,正确对待资本主义核心价值观。社会主义核心价值观与资本主义核心价值观之间,因其同属于社会核心价值观与意识形态范畴,因而具有一般意义上的同质性,但更重要的是,二者又各自属于不同的意识形态范畴,因而必然具有相关的异质性特征。历史唯物主义告诉我们,社会主义核心价值观必然超越资本主义核心价值观,以显示其优越性。加强对二者关系的认知,对培育和践行社会主义核心价值观具有重要的意义。

It is indispensable to clarify the essential difference between the socialist core values and the core values of capitalism and correctly treat the later in cultivating and practicing the socialist core values. We claim that there is general homogeneity between the socialist core values and the core values of capitalism because they are belonging to the core values of the society and the category of ideology. While more importantly, they must have characteristic heterogeneity as the result of specific ideological category. Historical materialism maintains that the socialist core values is bound to surpass the core values of capitalism in order to show its superiority. It is great significant to strengthen the cognition of the relationship between the two for cultivating and practicing the socialist core values.
