Ecoaesthetic Connotations of Whitehead's Organic Philosophy from the Perspective of “Category System”

怀特海在《过程与实在》中提出了包括4类共47个范畴的"范畴体系",为其有机哲学建立了一个完整的理论构架。通过对这个范畴体系的学理阐释,可以看出其中全面而深刻的生态思维内涵和美学意蕴。它不仅鲜明地表现出以现实世界的创造性进程为特征的生成性和以本体论、相对性两个原理为基础的生态性,而且在两者的统一中还表现出以多样统一的和谐和包容为核心的审美性。因而可以说,这种有机哲学实际上是一种具有完整体系并以高扬创造精神为特征的生态美学。

Alfred North Whitehead put forward a 'category system' with 4 categories including 47 subcategories on the basis of which he built a complete theoretical framework for his organic philosophy.We can find out its overall and profound ecological and aesthetic connotations by theoretically interpreting the category system which not only distinctively presents a generative property featuring the creative process of the real world as well as an ecological property based on the principles of ontology and relativity,but also shows an aesthetic nature centered on the harmonious diversity and tolerance in the union of the generative and ecological properties.It is therefore safe to say that this kind of organic philosophy is in fact a form of ecoaesthetics characterized by a complete system and soaring creativity.
