“肾者,胃之关也”质疑

The Reinterpretion of “Kidney is the Gate of Stomach”

从出土简帛中"胃"的用法对《素问·水热穴论》"肾者,胃之关也"句义提出质疑,又从《素问·水热穴论》原文进行分析,发现经文讲的是肾脏在发生水病(胕肿、风水、大腹、水肿)过程中的病理机制,并无涉及肾胃相关的任何情况。"肾者,胃之关也",即"肾者,谓之关也"。"胃"通"谓"。

Considering the usage of word＂stomach（ 胃） ＂in unearthed bamboo slips and silks,the sentence＂Kidney is the gate of stomach（ 肾者,胃之关也） ＂should be reinterpreted. We analyzed the original text of Chapter Shui Re Xue Lun in Suwen,and found that it discussed the pathological mechanism of kidney when it got edema,while the relationship between kidney and stomach was not mentioned at all. So the sentence should be interpreted as＂kidney is called the gate（ 肾者,谓之关也） ＂. The word＂stomach（ 胃） ＂is an interchangeable word for the word＂call（ 谓） ＂.
