Mystery of Consciousness: The New Progress of Philosophy of Mind

"意识之谜"指的是"意识是什么,意识是如何产生的"问题,是心灵哲学和认知科学研究的热点和难点。探究意识本质有两种研究视角。越来越多的科学家对"意识之谜"展开实证性研究,对大脑的研究成为探索"意识之谜"的主要方式。也有科学家开拓了其他的研究途径,如计算机模拟,宇宙大爆炸理论,甚至寻求神学的回归。心灵哲学家则从哲学层面对意识问题进行不同于传统认识论的探索。

＂The mystery of consciousness＂ means the problem about ＂what is consciousness, how does con- sciousness emerge？＂ It is a heated topic and a difficulty in philosophy of mind and cognitive science. There are two dimensions of exploring the essence of consciousness. A growing number of scientists are conducting empirical studies of ＂the mystery of consciousness＂, where the study of the brain is a major approach. Some scientists have established other approaches, such as computer simulation, Big Bang cosmology, and even the return of theology. The mentalists of philosophers are approaching this problem from philosophical viewpoint which is different from tra- ditional epistemology.
