Heroic Complex and Skepticism in Bei Dao's Poems

北岛的诗歌按照语言风格的迥异,可分为出国前的早期和出国后的中晚期。其诗中有一以贯之的诗歌精神——怀疑主义的精神。对历史、政治、人性的怀疑和思索,让北岛内在精神与外在环境形成紧张的冲突;对自己英雄情结不懈地反抗和怀疑,又使北岛早期诗和中晚期诗得以碰撞,使他的诗本身成为一种诗史,记载下民族精神史和个人反抗精神的流变,呈现出泛博、复杂的精神面向。

Abstract ： According to the differences in writing style, Bei Dao＇ s poems can be divided into early （ before going abroad） and later period （after going abroad）. There is a consistent spirit in his poems： skepticism. In the early stage, Bei Dao＇s skepticism to history, politics and human nature led to the confliction between his inner consciousness and the outside political environment. Reflection and skepticism to his own heroic complex resulted in collision between his early and later stage poems. Therefore, his poems became historic, broad and profound, and recorded the mental history of the nation and spiritual transformation of individual.
