Comparison of Family Imagination in “The Muslim's Funeral” and “Big Breasts and Wide Hips”

20世纪80、90年代出现了一批描写家族变化的小说。这一时期的作家们更关注文学创作的民间性,并试图站在民间立场上对历史进行想象,以期还原真实的历史。《穆斯林的葬礼》与《丰乳肥臀》是这一时期值得重视的两部作品。文章通过比较两部作品中不同的家族想象方式,揭示不同文化内涵,《穆斯林的葬礼》反映了在历史进程中,两种不同文化的碰撞融合;《丰乳肥臀》则是通过描写上官家的家族命运歌颂母性的伟大,揭示了残酷的政治环境对人的摧残。

In the 80s and 90s of the 20th century a number of stories appeared to describe the change of family fortunes. During this period the writers pay more attention to the literary creation of folk, and try to stand in the folk standpoint to imagine history, in order to restore the real history. ＂The Muslim＇ s Funeral＂ and ＂Big Breasts and Wide Hips＂ are two worthy works during this period. In this paper, through comparing the two works in the family imagination in different ways, the author tried to reveal different cultural connotations. ＂The Muslim＇s Funeral＂ reflected in the course of history, the collision and fusion of two different cultures. ＂Big Breasts and Wide Hips＂, by describing the butler＇s family of the maternal great fate, reveal the brutal political environment for people.
