In order to further develop the technology of satellite navigation and positioning for China,the paper expounded the current status and tendency of this industry：since China＇s BDS of second-generation offered regional service,with the support of the relevant ministries and local governments,the satellite navigation and positioning industry has been developed rapidly;BDS is widely used in various fields,and has become the important spatio-temporal benchmark;high-precise indoor and outdoor seamless navigation technology has been made a breakthrough,location services are perfectly combined with mobile phones,and satellite navigation and positioning has a series of technical innovation,which gives the promising prospect for satellite navigation industry;with the deep integration of the internet and wireless communications,satellite navigation and location-based services would go into people＇s daily life,and become essential information in economic and social development.
