摘要
《花园街五号》是以中国20世纪80年代初的城市经济改革的大浪潮为背景而创作的。刘钊作为一个力图改革者的形象,大胆创新,韩潮则身居高位,稳重老成。韩潮和刘钊"三次掰手腕"看似是两人力量的较量,实则隐含着韩潮对刘钊的怜爱和疼惜。文章通过叙述韩刘二人三次掰手腕,显示出每次掰手腕的境遇的不同,身份的不同,以及隐含于力量较量下的象征意义;分析了三次掰手腕的社会背景状况,即城市改革的情况。
No.5 Garden Street is written on the background of China's urban economic reform in early 1980 s, in which Liu Zhao is described as a reformer who is bold in innovation and Han Liu as a high official who is prudent and experienced. They have a hand-wrestling contest three times, which is seemingly their strength competition but is actually an implication of Han Chao's sympathy for Liu Zhao. The description of three-time hand wrestling shows the difference of their circumstance and identity as well as the symbolic meaning implied in their strength contest. Besides, the background of each hand wrestling is analyzed, namely the background of the urban reform.
