Building a sound early childhood data system has been an important educa- tional measure in western developed countries since the 21st century.As one of the central elements in early childhood system, data system is the key to ensure and improve the quali- ty of early childhood education.At the end of 20th century, Maryland took the lead in devel- oping the first database for early childhood program, and which has become a coordinated early childhood data system.The consruction of early childhood data system needs to link all of the related elements, to clarify the sources of data, to attach importance to data＇s min- ing and using, and to develop sound policies and regulations to ensure the privacy and safety of data.The developed experiences of early childhood data system in Maryland has received extensive attention from others countries..
