An Application of Relevance Theory to the Contrastive Analysis of the Three Masters' Translations of One of the Du Fu's Scenic Poems——Taking Mounting the Yueyang Tower as an example

多产诗人杜甫的诗歌是中外驰名的艺术瑰宝。人们从多方面对杜诗的英译进行研究,而把关联理论用于其研究的人很少。从关联理论的角度对杜甫山水诗的英译进行举隅探究,旨在促进语言理论发展,探索诗歌英译鉴赏新路子,提高翻译和教学质量。

Du Fu＇s extant poems are honored as the artistic treasure in Chinese and the world＇s literature. People sel- dom carry out the research on his poems from the perspective of Relevance Theory. And this article tries to do the re- search using the theory with examples of different versions by elites in poetic translation to achieve the goal of enhancing the development of linguistic theories and to find a new way of appreciation and appraisal of poem translation, and to im- prove the quality of translation and teaching.
